We read the official rule
FAQ pages, bath pages and the chatbot answers most inns hide their policy in. The original Japanese is kept, word for word.

We ask when it is not written
A written enquiry first, then a phone call on behalf of tattooed travelers. Two questions: is it OK, and under what conditions.

You see the proof
Every status carries its source, the date, and an expiry. Policies change; when a check has expired, the listing says so.
